Resident, Tom celebrated his 50th Anniversary of being a member of the National Association of Retired Police Officers on Friday 22nd November!
Family, friends, residents and staff gathered to celebrate his special award before family took him out for further celebrations at Elton Liberal Club. Tom was over the moon with the arranged transport for his outing which was a 1981 Police Land Rover!
Tom was greeted by the Mayor and Mayoress of Bury along with Steve WILCOCK, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, from Narpo HQ, Wakefield to present his award.
Tom was Acting Detective Sergeant before retiring; he joined in 1949 after his National Service in the RAF Police.
