Christmas has come early for some of the Young Carers in Tameside this year. Just under 500 children will receive a Selection Box in the hope that this small gift will boost their morale.
The group was started some ten years ago at their base at Hyde Community Centre. Normally they would have had their annual Christmas party with a visit from Father Christmas. But this year due to Covid 19 it cannot happen. The staff and volunteers will personally deliver the chocolate treats in time for the big day!
None of this would have been possible without the generosity of the East Lancashire Masonic Charity who donated £1,000 through an application by the Ashton and Mossley District Freemasons.
