On Friday the 27th August the Resident’s enjoyed a performance of ‘When I’m Cleaning Windows’ by the North East Producers. All enjoyed the show!
Wizard of Oz
On Sunday 22nd August, some of the Resident’s and staff enjoyed going to see The Wizard of Oz at Empire Theatre, Blackburn. All had a brilliant time!
Italian Takeaway Night
On Wednesday 18th August, some of the Residents enjoyed an Italian takeaway night! With garlic bread, pizza, lasagne, carbonara, cannelloni and risotto there was something for everyone! All had a lovely time and can’t wait for the next one.
National Tell a Joke Day
The Residents had a laugh on Monday 16th August telling some jokes for National Tell and Joke Day!
Resident’s make Homemade Burgers
The residents had a great time in the baking class with Debbie and Mel on Wednesday 11th August, they made homemade burgers infused with cheese! Well done to resident Joan for winning star baker!
Pets as Therapy
We had another wonderful Tuesday morning on 10th August with Jenson the Goldendoodle and owner Richard from Pets as Therapy today! He brings so many smiles to the Residents faces, we all love him!
Baking Rice Krispie’s Squares
Star bakers on Wednesday 4th August in the baking class were residents Joyce and Irene, they made some delicious Rice Krispie's Squares with the other residents!
Trip to the Theatre
Some of the Residents enjoyed a trip out to Empire Theatre, Blackburn on Monday 3rd August to watch a variety performance. All had a great time!
Poppy Holiday performs for the Residents
Another fun filled afternoon on Thursday 29th July with the lovely Poppy Holiday performing for the Residents! It was great to have her back singing some favourites the Residents could join in with.
Fruit kebabs and Chippy Tea
What a lovely afternoon we had at Hewlett Court on Wednesday 28th July, the Resident's enjoyed making some fabulous fruit kebabs in the baking class with Debbie followed by a chippy tea! Star baker this week was Dorothea, who did an excellent job!
