On Tuesday 27th February, the ladies and gents enjoyed a visit from the Poppy Holiday. Everyone loved singing along with Poppy and even the staff got involved. A fabulous afternoon was had by all.

On Sunday 11th February, the members of Darley Lodge No 6531 invited the ladies and gents of Hewlett Court to their brass band concert. A fabulous time was had by all that attended listening to Besses o’th Barn brass band.

To celebrate Chinese New Year, the ladies, gents and staff celebrated with a Chinese Takeaway. The ladies and gents chose their favourite Chinese dish and enjoyed a nice glass of wine. A lovely evening was had by all.

We invited Sunnybank Ukulele Group to Hewlett Court to help celebrate National Ukulele Day on Friday 2nd February. The ladies and gents enjoyed singing along to the well known songs that were played and some even joined in playing the percussion instruments.

The morning started with the residents tucking into a full breakfast cooked by Hewlett Court cook, Mel and Buck’s Fizz. The ladies, gents and staff later joined in the lounge for games of ring toss, dominos and play your cards right whilst being served brandy coffees...
