The ladies and gents started off the New Year with a glass of Buck’s Fizz on arrival to breakfast followed by a full breakfast cooked by Mary.
Everyone then gathered in the main lounge at 11am for Brandy or Baileys coffee and mince pies reminiscing about the past year before the staff came to have a few games!
A festive four course lunch was then served, consisting of a prawn cocktail or melon starter, followed by a roast turkey dinner with all the trimmings, then Christmas pudding with brandy sauce and finished off with cheese & biscuits as well as a selection of sherry or port and a glass of wine.
Before the cheese and biscuits were served, Team Leader, Rachel and Resident, Tom gave a speech to welcome in the New Year and thank the staff for their hard work throughout the past year. A toast was then done to all absent friends and well wishes were given for the New Year.
