On Friday 30 September Hewlett Court held a Coffee Morning in support of the MacMillan Nurses to coincide with the National MacMillan Coffee Morning initiative. This was very well supported by both residents and guests to the extent that a magnificent sum of £1,140 was raised. There was a table laden with cakes of all varities for which a donation was requested, a raffle with many prizes, and several other fundraising items. The Hewlett Court staff and volunteers worked very hard to make this a very enjoyable event
The ‘Icing on the Cake’ was a £500 donation given by WBro Alan France, the Worshipful Master of Concord Lodge1534, which was received by Mrs Julie Ward, the ELMC Director of Operations.
