On Saturday 22 November Hewlett Court held its second Christmas Fair which was extremely successful.
We were visited by people from the local community, local Counsellors, Residents families and Brethren of the Province. Donations were given from our local suppliers Arthur Lane Nurseries, Pooles Produce, Greenmount Butchers, Summerseat Garden Centre and we received fantastic hampers from local Lodges helping us to raise an amazing £769 on the raffle alone.
There were various stalls on the day, Hewlett Court tombola [thank you for the donations from the Hewlett Court staff and Residents Families], Bury Hospice, the Body Shop, Francis House, Christmas Essentials and gifts. The Hewlett Court cooks made some mouth watering cakes to sell on the day with refreshments.
A big Thank You to Jean Forrester and her choir from the Salford Musical Theatre Company “The Serenaders” for singing Christmas songs and carols for a good two hours!
There was a special surprise on the day when Father Christmas made an appearance accompanied by his elves!!! The children had written letters to Santa which they took to him in our very own grotto.
Thank you to the Friends of Hewlett Court Committee, Chaired by WBro Charles Ward, for their help and support and a huge thank you to our wonderful staff for their continued commitment and support.
