On Tuesday 16th December, family, friends, staff, and our ladies and gents gathered at Hewlett Court for a very special occasion — the grand opening of the newly renovated Lightbown Lounge and a surprise celebration for David Lightbown, Chairman of the Advisory Committee.
The Lightbown Lounge, formerly the conservatory, has been beautifully transformed into a modern, welcoming space that can be enjoyed all year round. This renovation was made possible thanks to David, along with the support of fellow committee members who helped turn it into reality. What a fantastic space it has become!
While we were all together for the grand opening, we couldn’t miss the opportunity to surprise David with an early celebration for his 80th birthday next week. Everyone joined in singing Happy Birthday as David was presented with a birthday cake, and then we were treated to wonderful entertainment from Fletch, who rounded off a lovely afternoon.
A heartfelt thank you to David for his years of hard work, dedication, and commitment to Hewlett Court. His passion and willingness to go above and beyond have helped ensure Hewlett Court continues to grow, improve, and thrive.
