ELMC Autumn Outing
On Monday 20 September, the Comforts Fund Committee organised the ELMC Autumn Outing to the Lake District. The group consisting of 23 Beneficiaries, 4 Hewlett Court Residents, 4 Ladies from the Audenshaw Fellowship and 7 Committee Members arrived at Audenshaw Masonic Hall from 9.30am for a tea/coffee reception. Around 10.30am the coach departed for Ambleside.
We arrived at Ambleside for 1pm and enjoyed an excellent lunch at the Watersedge Inn which was in a beautiful setting next to Lake Windermere. The attendees were treated to a three course meal and drink.
After lunch the group sailed on the new MV Swift, a ship built in 2020, from Ambleside to Bowness. After a short stop in Bowness the return journey was by one of the historic steamers back to Ambleside. The coach then departed for the return journey to Stanley House.
The event was enjoyed by everyone who attended and the Committee have received some excellent feedback.
