The Teddies for Loving Care (TLC) scheme was set up in 2001 and provides teddies for children in A&E departments of hospitals.  Being in hospital can be a very distressing experience for children and the teddies provide comfort for them when they need it, reward for being brave, and to help demonstrate medical procedures to the children. These teddies are named by the child and taken home with them when they leave the hospital.

These teddies are donated by the Freemasons and are distributed by the various local Freemasonry districts.

East Ribble District is very proud to be able to continue to help East Lancashire Hospitals Trust in providing these teddies where they are needed most.
