Hewlett Court, Newcombe Road, Holcombe Brook, Bury, BL0 9XJ
Hewlett Court Sheltered Accommodation facility was opened in 1979 as a Masonic Retirement Home for the elderly. The home belongs to the East Lancashire Masonic Charity [ELMC] which has cared for Freemasons’ and their dependants for over a century.
Hewlett Court prides itself on its friendly family atmosphere
Hewlett Court is registered with the Local Authority as ‘Sheltered Housing’. It is not a Nursing or Convalescent Home and therefore the home is not permitted to provide nursing care to residents and short stay guests.
Becoming a resident at Hewlett Court can be a difficult and momentous decision for both the potential resident and their family. The Management Team fully understands that decision and treats everyone as an individual to ensure that the right decision is made.
Before permanent entry is approved applicants must reside in Hewlett Court for a trial period of two weeks and then return to their normal accommodation. This is to ensure that they really do want permanent residence, and for their suitability for communal life.
